Raytheon Intelligence & Space provides integrated space, communications, sensor, cyber and software solutions—including ISR systems, radars, electronic warfare, space systems, secure communications, and cyber services—to intelligence, defense, federal and commercial customers such as the DoD, U.S. Intelligence Community, FAA and NASA. Raytheon Missiles & Defense delivers end-to-end detection, tracking and engagement systems across air, land, sea and space, including missiles such as AMRAAM, Javelin, Stinger, Tomahawk and Standard Missile families, along with Patriot, NASAMS and SPY-6 radar systems, serving the U.S. military services, the Missile Defense Agency, and international government customers. The company derives substantial revenue from U.S. government sales (45% of total net sales in 2022) and international sales (39% of total net sales in 2022), reported total backlog of $175 billion as of December 31, 2022, and competes with numerous domestic and foreign manufacturers and defense contractors on price, technology, innovation and past performance, while employing approximately 182,000 people across 52 countries, including around 55,000 engineering professionals.
