SEC filings, insider trading & institutional ownership from EDGAR.
Trip.com Group Limited is a leading global one-stop travel service provider that integrates a broad suite of travel products and services with differentiated travel content. It began operating in June 1999 and is a Cayman Islands holding company, originally incorporated in 2000 as Ctrip.com International, Ltd. It was listed on Nasdaq in 2003 and on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2021 (stock code 9961). It consolidated Qunar in December 2015 and Skyscanner in December 2016, and adopted its current name in October 2019. Most of its operations have been in China, with overseas expansion since 2009. Its mission is "to pursue the perfect trip for a better world."
The company operates four brands: Ctrip, a leading travel services provider in China; Qunar, a leading online travel agency in China; Trip.com, an online travel agency for global travelers; and Skyscanner, a global travel search company. Its offerings include accommodation reservation, transportation ticketing (air tickets plus train, long-distance bus and ferry tickets), packaged tours and in-destination activities, and corporate travel management through Trip.Biz. Other services include car services, travel insurance, visa services, online advertising and consumer financing. Accommodation revenue comes substantially from commissions, as the company acts as an agent in substantially all hotel transactions. The platform also carries user reviews, a travel community, curated recommendations and live streaming, and provides 24/7 user support, including a travel SOS service.
Customers are leisure and business travelers, primarily in Asia and increasingly worldwide. Users reach the platform through mobile apps, other mobile channels and websites, and over 90% of 2025 transaction orders came through mobile. As of December 31, 2025, Trip.com was available in 27 languages, 44 currencies and 48 local sites, and Skyscanner in 43 languages and over 50 countries and regions. Offline, the company has around 6,000 stores across about 300 cities in China, run with business partners. Trip.Biz serves corporate clients in more than 30 markets. Marketing focuses on the Asia-Pacific region through online and offline campaigns, celebrity partnerships and entertainment placements.
The company runs an open platform where ecosystem partners list their own offerings. Those partners include hotels, airlines, train, bus and ferry operators, car rental companies, other travel agencies and value-added service providers. As of December 31, 2025, the platform had about 1.7 million global accommodation listings, flights from over 680 airlines covering over 3,500 airports in over 220 countries and regions, over 350,000 in-destination activities, and over 60,000 other ecosystem partners. Partners are screened and monitored through ratings and user feedback. Air ticket engines connect directly to airline systems and the global distribution system. The company uses AI and proprietary search and transaction engines, with both public and private cloud technology. It had nine customer service centers worldwide as of year-end 2025. Its main PRC sites are maintained through subsidiaries and VIE entities. The principal executive offices are at 30 Raffles Place, Singapore.
