Sabre Corp (SABR)

SEC filings, insider trading & institutional ownership from EDGAR.

Sabre Corporation is a technology company that provides software and distribution solutions for the global travel industry. It describes its vision as being the most valued global technology platform in travel. It connects travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, car rental brands, rail carriers, cruise lines and tour operators, with travel buyers in a business-to-business travel marketplace, and it offers airlines a suite of software solutions. Sabre Corporation is a Delaware corporation formed in December 2006 that acquired Sabre Holdings Corporation in March 2007. Sabre GLBL Inc., the principal operating subsidiary, and its subsidiaries conduct all of the businesses.

Following the sale of its Hospitality Solutions business in the third quarter of 2025, Sabre reports a single segment. That segment centers on the Sabre Mosaic Marketplace, which combines a global distribution network with solutions that integrate with it. The distribution business aggregates content such as inventory, prices and availability from suppliers and makes it available to buyers. The IT Solutions offerings are delivered through software-as-a-service and hosted models and include reservation systems for full-cost and low-cost carriers, commercial and operations products, agency solutions and data-driven intelligence solutions. In 2024 Sabre launched SabreMosaic Airline Technology, a proprietary, AI-enabled offer and order retailing platform for airlines. Distribution revenue comes from transaction fees on bookings made through its global distribution system, usually paid by the travel supplier, and from fees paid by travel agency subscribers. IT Solutions revenue comes from implementation fees, recurring usage-based and subscription fees under contracts that typically run three to ten years, software licensing and maintenance fees, and professional services.

Its customers include travel suppliers (airlines, hotels and other lodging providers, car rental brands, rail carriers, cruise lines, tour operators, attractions and services), travel buyers (online and offline travel agencies, travel management companies and corporate travel departments), and airports, governments and tourism boards. Its airline customers are located in every region and include low-cost and hybrid carriers, global network carriers and regional network carriers. The business is seasonal, with bookings and revenue strongest in the first and third quarters and weakest in the fourth. Russian legislation and a 2024 decree have prohibited and limited its operations in Russia.

Sabre runs standardized, primarily cloud-based infrastructure that has moved away from mainframe transaction processing, and it is investing in AI-powered capabilities. It competes with other global distribution systems, local and airline- or government-owned marketplaces, direct distribution by suppliers, metasearch providers, aggregators, IT providers, specialists and airlines' in-house technology. It protects its intellectual property through patent, copyright, trade secret and trademark laws and contracts. It is subject to regulation including GDS rules in the EU, Canada and the U.S., data privacy laws such as GDPR, and OFAC sanctions. It had 4,650 employees at December 31, 2025, with 49 offices worldwide, and its headquarters are at 3150 Sabre Drive, Southlake, Texas.
